With Fashion Week just around the corner, you’d think that celebs would already be bringing the heat in hopes of scoring front-row seats to the season’s most coveted shows. But it appears that some wannabe It Girls didn’t get the memo. Case in point, last night’s US Open kick-off party here in Manhattan. Clearly, Ashley was the style winner. Dark florals are tres in for fall, and this sheath dress feels classic but not matronly thanks to it’s snug fit.
Then there’s Nikki. Ugh. After striking out spectacularly at the Creative Arts Emmys, she turns up in this grandma dress that makes her look like a saggy rectangle.
Yesterday I was flipping through People Style Watch magazine—I enjoy seeing what the plebs find fashionable—and the mag declared Nikki as one of their style icons. I just…can’t even get my head around that decision. Was Larry the Cable Guy busy? Did Rosie O’Donnell have a prior engagement? Nikki, you’re gorgeous and have a fabulous figure—please GET IT TOGETHER.
